Participant Access - Certification Program Manual
The SEI Certification Program Manual (CPM) is a comprehensive guide that includes detailed information about the program, standards, and SEI's roles and responsibilities. The manual is provided in PDF format and can be downloaded as an entire document or as sections.
Updates and revised sections are frequently added to replace or supplement additional sections. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the most recent information available.
If you find errors or omissions in the documentation, please contact us immediately. We will investigate and, depending on our findings, issue an update to the documentation.
You will need to have Adobe PDF reader to access the documentation presented in the table below.
SEI completed a major reorganization and reformatting of the SEI CPM in January 2012. Your ease-of-use has been kept in mind as we reorganized the sections in the manual.
Here is a brief overview of how the CPM is organized:
- The main Table of Contents reflects all Sections in the CPM, and is included in Sections 1-19 below.
- The core sections which are applicable to all SEI participants are Sections 1 through 19.
- Sections 20 through 32 are the "Program" Sections
- A Program Sections Table of Contents will direct you to the Program groupings and Standards
- If you print/download the CPM, you will only need to access the Program section(s) applicable to your certified products.
- If a new standard has recently been published, the information you recently received in the SEI Bulletin announcing the program is incorporated in the Program Section.
- The Program Sections include procedures/requirements relating to specific programs/standards:

- Definition of a Model
- Application & Annual Certification Fees
- Testing Fees/Attributes & Variables
- Submittal Forms
- General Components & Materials Description Forms
- User Guide & Label Checklist (for certain programs)
